The Salt River Watershed Group coordinates efforts to maintain and enhance the ecological function and resiliency of the Salt River watershed through collaborative projects, resource management, and community engagement.
Vision
A Salt River watershed where residents, agricultural producers, businesses, non-profits, outfitters, state and federal agencies, and other stakeholders collaborate to maintain a healthy watershed and community for future generations.
Goals
- Foster collaboration between diverse stakeholders within the Salt River watershed.
- Bring together public and private interests to communicate, resolve conflicts, and create positive change within the watershed.
- Disseminate technical and topical information regarding resource management to interested residents.
- Encourage actions that reduce adverse impacts on or benefit the natural resources and way of life of watershed residents.
- Maintain and enhance the ecological function of the Salt River and its tributaries.
